What changed

Exascale and Compal announced a nonbinding letter of intent on September 14 to develop a US validation platform for native 800-volt direct-current infrastructure. Their release pairs Compal's GPU servers and liquid cooling with Exascale's modular data-centre design, solid-state transformers and software. Compal would provide the site; Exascale would lead deployment and testing.

Why it matters

The proposed work addresses integration across power, cooling and computing equipment. Testing those interfaces together could provide more useful deployment evidence than evaluating each component in isolation.
