What changed
Cloudflare opened a Queues incident on September 14. Its September 15 update says messages published to some queues are not reaching their consumers. Publishing remains available, and the company says it is retaining messages without loss. Engineers have identified the cause and are working on a fix; affected messages are expected to be delivered automatically afterward.
Why it matters
A successful publish does not establish that downstream work has happened. For teams using these queues, the practical distinction is between accepting a task and completing it. Delivery delays could therefore leave application workflows waiting even when submission appears healthy.
What remains unproven
The incident remains open. Cloudflare has not disclosed the cause, affected customer count or a recovery deadline. Its no-loss statement is a provider claim.
