What changed
Tonic’s September 14 notes for Fabricate 4.29.0 introduce a setup wizard for newly deployed self-hosted instances. It checks compatibility, installs a licence key and offers telemetry choices. Users stopping a conversation can now choose whether its running workflow continues separately or is cancelled. API keys can be assigned to account groups, and workflow parameters marked as secrets are masked in fields, API responses and logs.
Why it matters
The changes make installation and workflow administration more explicit. Separating a conversation’s end from a running job’s fate could help teams avoid unintentionally abandoning useful work. Group assignment gives administrators another way to organize API access.
What remains unproven
The notes provide no deployment-success measurements. Parameter masking alone does not demonstrate comprehensive protection against disclosure throughout a workflow.
