- One architecture supports three different studio connection layouts.
What changed
Audient has announced its Horizon 8P, Horizon 16 and Horizon 32 audio interfaces. KVR Audio's September 14 report puts worldwide dealer availability on September 28. Audient's product page describes a shared Thunderbolt 3 architecture and macOS driver, with up to four units connected to one host.
Why it matters
The models address different recording setups: microphone inputs on the 8P, and larger line-level connections on the 16 and 32 for external studio equipment. A common expansion scheme could let a studio add connections as its needs grow, rather than redesign its entire recording setup at once.
What remains unproven
Audient's 0.99-millisecond latency and 200-input/200-output maximum are specified capabilities, not results independently reproduced here. Real sessions depend on configuration and workload. The announced sales date also remains a future milestone, rather than evidence of completed deliveries.
