What changed
TrendForce published a NOR flash outlook forecasting another 90–110% average price increase for products of 256Mb and above during the second half of 2026. For products of 128Mb and below, it expects a smaller 10–20% increase in the fourth quarter as additional Chinese capacity arrives.
Why it matters
The distinction matters for component planning: one headline percentage cannot describe every memory density or purchasing period. TrendForce attributes tighter high-capacity supply to demand from AI servers and automotive applications, while noting that process changes, yield improvements and customer qualification delay usable output from new investment.
What remains unproven
These are the research firm's forecasts, not confirmed prices for every supplier or contract. The public release does not provide the underlying transaction dataset. Buyers would still need current quotations and qualification checks for their specific parts.
