THE ESSENTIALS
  • The new development is a study announcement, not Compass's launch.

What changed

Ninth Wave and AWS announced findings from a joint study of Compass, the bank onboarding assistant launched in March. They claim reductions of up to 95% in data mapping and integration testing. Compass coordinates specialist agents for work including field mapping and integration questions, using Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore.

Why it matters

The application targets the work required to reconcile different institutions' API fields and formats. If repeatable, the reported improvement could shorten a specific stage of connecting banking systems to external business applications. It should not be interpreted as a comparable reduction in an entire bank implementation.

What remains unproven

The announcement does not give sample size, baseline task definitions or error rates. The result comes from the suppliers' own study, and the full white paper was not reviewed here.
