Turn a claim into a question

Understand the idea.
A claim becomes easier to evaluate when you can state what observation would support it and what result would contradict it. “This is reliable” is vague. “These operations completed under these conditions, with these failures recorded” is narrower but testable.
A worked example.
A supplier says a new system improves productivity. Your team needs to know which task, compared with what baseline, performed by which users, at what quality level. A polished demonstration may suggest a useful experiment without answering those questions.
Try the reasoning.
Choose a technology claim you have seen recently. Rewrite it as a question with a measurable outcome. Add one plausible result that would make you reject it.
Carry it into practice.
In a review, label observed facts, your interpretation and unresolved questions separately. This makes disagreement productive.
